Fred and Karen Brason are the founders and directors of Coastlands Ministries. Fred had been a health care executive and business owner until 1995 when the Lord led him and his family out into the mission field through Youth With a Mission. He was initially ordained under the Southern Baptist Convention followed by ordination by MorningStar Ministries (MorningStarMinistries.org) through their Fellowship of Ministries. Fred serves as pastor of their home based WellSpring Fellowship with a vision to multiply and network through planting additional churches as others are trained and released to lead. Additionally, Fred serves as mission and international liaison for Stony Point Christian Publications Ministry network and Community of Churches, (spchristianpub.org). Ministry training includes certification in various courses in Christian counseling through the National Association of Nouthetic (Biblical) Counseling and Elijah House Ministries of John and Paula Sanford in Post Falls, Idaho. Most recently Fred received ordination as a Senior Chaplain, Community Service, under the International Fellowship of Chaplains, (IFOC.org) through their University of Michigan accredited training.
Karen is a worship leader and teacher with a heart for intercession. Her worship brings forth an intimacy with the Lord that ultimately births prophetic new song and intercession. She also is certified in prophetic prayer counseling through Elijah House Ministries and has a desire to see the body of Christ healed and flowing in the fullness of the Spirit. Her teaching gift brings an impartation of the Word that enables many to walk in truth, setting them free.
They flow together in the prophetic and minister healing through their worship and sharing of the Word. They have a heart for the Nations and lead short term mission outreach and ministry teams. They minister at general services, seminars, conferences and retreats with amost recent emphasis in the United Kingdom and Belize, CA.
Their desire to bring healing to the Nations has them reaching out pastorally to missionaries and pastors for equipping and strengthening to carry on the Great Commission, Mark 16:15-18.
Fred and Karen reside in Moravian Falls, NC and have four children; Ted, Lindsey, Andrea and Robby. They are establishing a Base Camp ministry including a House of Hope for troubled teens, a School of Missions and Healing for discipleship training with an emphasis on youth and families. Addtionally, through their StoreHouse Missions, a food bank is being established to meet the needs of the hungry.
