House of Hope BlueRidge is a ministry for troubled, hurting teenagers, ages 12 to 18, and their families, who may have had backgrounds or problems with addictions, homelessness, abuse and dysfunctional family living. These individuals will be given room and board, discipleship training, practical life skills, individual and family pastoral counseling, biblical foundations and bible study. They will also receive Junior and High School accedited education through Hope Academy. BlueRidge will provide a Christ centered home environment filled with love and acceptance that will enable each teen to be healed of their hurts and enabling them to reenter family life reconciled and restored. Through teaching and caring their skills will develop to prepare them to be active citizens and an effective part of society. Part of the aspect of House of Hope BlueRidge program is Christ oriented service through short term missions into another culture and nation. We believe that bringing the School of Mission young people together with the Phase four and five House of Hope residents will produce fruitful benefits in each of their lives. Additionally, the experience of serving in missions around the world to those who are far less fortunate and stepping out to minister to them will further transform each into their life's purpose. Expenses are expected to be met by available tuition, donations, fundraising and grants.
